Creative Faces
In this one day class you will learn how to make your first creative face. Once you make one, it's hard not to make more, they become addicting very quickly!

| Requirements: | Supplies: Pattern (PDF will be emailed to you.) - Please read through the pattern prior to class. If possible, have all of your ‘hair’ pieces cut out before the class session. Sharp scissors for intricate cutting, I use Karen Buckley scissors Fusible web – 1 yard Pencil Fabric Ball & Brush Black fine tip pen (optional) Frixion Pen or any disappearing marking pen Sewing machine Free motion foot Threads that match your fabric colors - If we have time we will be adding some thread painting and applique stitching to our faces An extension packet will be available for purchase from Kathy on the day of the class if you want additional face patterns. Fabrics: 1 - Fat Quarter for background 1 - Fat Quarter for skin tone color 1 - Fat Quarter for hair - find a fun fabric that has a motif that is 1-2” in size, it can be anything 1 - 5” square scrap piece of white for eyes and teeth 1 - 2” x 4” red scrap for lip color 1 - 2” x 4” scrap for nose Your creativity! |

| Instructor Bio: | Kathy Slack is a retired elementary teacher who has been quilting for at least 15 years. She has taught both children and adults how to sew and enjoys sharing her love of fabric. Now that she is retired, she is able to focus on her two loves: teaching and sewing. Kathy moved to Marquette in the spring of 2023 after living in Harbor Springs for 30 years. We are so lucky to have her! |
